| Advice from the stylist | I recommended the customer a hair colour with a monotone base with one of the trendier colours of the season 2-section colouring technique: the monotone colour was first applied from the top to the middle section of the customer’s hair; a purple colour was subsequently applied from the middle section to the hair ends. |

| Stylist's thoughts on the outcome | For this colour, I did a 2-section colouring, and also made it such that there would be a natural transition between the two colours in the midsection of the customer’s hair A single colour would be a little plain, so I changed up the colour by adding a second purple colour from the middle to the ends of the customer’s hair. Recommended for customers who would prefer to not have colours that others may already have. As changing colours by section also requires design considerations, it is a colouring style I’d like to challenge again in the future. |
