Types of colouring techniques | GRADUAL COLOUR / INNER COLOUR |
---|---|
Customer's preference | Previously, she did a double coloring through balayage and gradation, and the color turned out to be a rather bright brown. Although she likes ash colors, she requested for something different this time round. |
Advice from the stylist | During consultation with the customer, she mentioned that she would not like a color that is too dark, nor did she want a reddish color for her whole head. Therefore, we decided to keep the original brightness and contrast from the balayage. A purplish-pink inner color was added to provide further contrast and create a soft image. |
Customer's thoughts on the outcome | She was glad that she could keep the color she had originally and still do something different from usual. She was also excited that the inner color can be seen by curling or twisting her hair. |
Stylist's thoughts on the outcome | As she had a gradation color with a darker color at the hair roots, there will be a less obvious color difference when the new hair grows out, and the style can still be kept well. If she had dyed her whole head reddish, it would be really difficult to dye an ash color over. Hence, I recommended that she have a change in style by adding an inner color. |
