Terrace House: Ruka

After jumping off the bandwagon for the previous season of Terrace house, I am back on the bandwagon!

The previous season was the first season I have watched of Terrace house. It was interesting at first seeing how they communicate and of course there were many heart fluttering scenes as couples formed and drama as love triangles formed.

After getting through the previous season halfway, I just got bored of the similar conversation patterns and dropped the show.

Recently, I have heard a lot about the show, like some major drama happening, thus I started watching the show again. It is a very half-ass effort as I am scheming through some episodes but it is a great way to improve on Japanese, especially if you watch it with Japanese subtitles.

Anyway, let us talk about RUKA!!! He did not make a huge impression at first as he spotted a rounded, brown, middle parting hairstyle.

But as his hair got shorter and dyed black, his features were brought forward and become more prominent. and that was when the whole world fell in love. Okay, maybe just me.

The great thing about watching Ruka is his attitude to try everything and he accepts criticism well. He never gets defensive over what is said towards him. As the youngest one in the house, he is constantly trying to get over the young brother image that he has. I get that he is frustrated but it is very heartwarming to watch Ruka want to grow and change.
