Hair and fashion of the past

I initially wanted to just talk about the history of hair, but as I started watching the fashion videos, it was so interesting to see so many fashion statements we wear now being worn originally from the past.

The fashion and trends we have now are nothing completely new. Many of these ideas recycle the trends from past decades and revamp them into something new.

We are seeing dresses similar to the 1940s with pockets and collars, floral dresses with the voluminous shape of the 1950s, casual short shift dresses with calmer colors and design for comfort and of course we have been seeing those white boots springing up everywhere. For the men’s we sweater vests again, loud shirts, wide pants, oversized jeans! We even have some people pulling off a complete suit, as men looks best in suits.

With vintage shops being the places to shop nowadays, we can expect to see more of past styles being incorporated in today’s fashion.

History is not just about learning about our past mistakes but it is also where all of today’s fashion trends stem from! I wonder what will be trending next!
