Tips to blow dry somone’s hair

Hello, today I’ll be talking about my experience about blowing female hair dry as someone who isn’t a hair stylist or assistant. I’m just your friendly receptionist

How To Blow Dry Your Hair The Right Way. | Be Beautiful India

As a male with medium-length hair, I have no idea how to dry ladies’ hair, especially if their hair is long. So… the first time I tried drying a lady’s hair, I found myself thinking.. should I touch her hair? where should I aim the dryer at? Why is her hair flying all around? While all that I happening, I’m like omg this so embarassing, then I tried to take control of the situation. All in all, it was awkward HAHAHA, and as someone who’s pretty passive and shy around physical touch, the embarassment amplifies. I know how to dry my own hair, but drying it for someone else is another universe by itself to me.

But maybe by sharing this experience, idk maybe guys who never ever blow a lady’s hair dry before can learn from this embarrasing situation of mine.

*Disclaimer: the following tips are not from a professional. I’m just a shy receptionist who is sharing his experience

Some tips:
1) grab her hair as you dry her hair with the dryer, if not her hair will fly around
2) focus on blowing dry her roots. Roots take longer to dry compared to the rest of the hair, do take note of it and aim the dryer there!
3) work through her hair, layer by layer, use your hands to guide her hair around and blow it dry. Most women’s hair are thick, so you gotta patiently work through layer by layer.
4) relax and maybe even converse! Drying her hair can take a long time, so don’t make it awkward and just have fun while at it too
