A twist to the traditional Kimono.

We all know the Kimono. Beautiful colors with amazing detailed designs and it shows off a lady’s elegance. A must try experience for many foreigners, an attire for special occasions and sometimes worn for the look of it (e.g. on a trip to Kyoto) for the Japanese.

As the generation evolves, so has the kimono. A modern twist has been introduced to the kimono.

Think lace, frills, blouses, pleated skirts ,darker tones, berets, heels and even fur.

okay, I have included too many pictures but everyone of them just looks so pretty! I can look at them all day.

I am sure elders in Japan must be shocked at how the kimono is being worn but I think it is absolutely gorgeous. As troublesome it is to put on a kimono, it would be great if the kimono starts becoming something that can be worn on a daily basis again!

This is the perfect combination of modern meets traditional.
