Different Type of Rebonding

Let’s talk about the different types of rebonding/straightening available!

Rebonding and hair straightening is immensely popular in Singapore and due to the demand, there several types of rebonding offered to cater to different needs.

The different variations can be confusing to many and do you know which to choose?

For those who are looking at fixing their stubborn natural curls to achieve a sleek straight hair, the traditional rebonding is the way to go! Definitely there will be damage done to the hair therefore having a treatment done at the salon together with the rebonding is recommended. Proper home hair care such as use of proper shampoo and leave-in treatment serum is vital too!

Another popular type is the combination of rebonding + digital perm. The hair is first rebonded before perming the hair ends. For those with very damaged hair ends, this is not recommended as the damage that will be inflicted to the hair is very high.

Natural rebonding is as the name says, for those who would like to achieve straight hair with a natural finish. The strength of the chemical and ironing technique used in the process will be adjusted according to the individual’s hair type.

Those who are concerned about the volume of the hair, fret not as there is volume rebonding! This rebonding uses a different type of ironing technique to bring out volume during the rebonding process. It requires the stylist be experienced as the technique is not easy.
