I have always been a fan of Yoshitaka Yuriko. A very versatile actress who is constantly active with movies and dramas.

I first saw her in the movie ‘Snakes and Piercings’, where she portrayed this dark, problematic, manipulative character who needed others to give her a sense of living. Not long after that, I saw her in ‘bokura ga ita’. A shoujo romance manga remake where she acted along side Toma Ikuta. It was a bittersweet movie about first loves and reuniting again as adults.

More works of her’s include Tokyo Dogs, Mioka (omg the tears in this one), Seigi no Se etc.

Today, we will look at her latest drama, 知らなくていいこと Off the record.

Yoshitaka Yuriko is Makabe Kate, a reporter for a weekly magazine and she is great at her job. She loses her single mother, and her mother’s last words were the name of her father. Every episode follows a different issue for the weekly magazine, while Kate sorts out her love life and discovers the truth about her father.

Besides the great story line, Yoshitaka Yuriko just looks so pretty in this drama! From her over-sized coats to her hair!

Yoshitaka Yuriko rocks the middle length hairstyle with the ends flaring up which is a hairstyle that most singaporeans hate to the core. But this hair length does not need to be frowned upon anymore as with the right styling it can be flattering.

With this drama, we are seeing many layering of turtle necks under shirts and ontop of that a bigger trench coat with a scarf. Who says you have to sacrifice looking good to keep warm in winter

Here is to hoping all ends well for Kate, especially her love line!! I can’t see how it is going to work out but fingers crossed!
