Wavy curls…?

Hi! It’s Linnah here today.

Every time someone wants an image change, they usually get a perm if their hair is straight, since that’s the biggest difference. Often, our customers don’t really know what sort of curls to get – wavy, or corkscrew curls.

Here are some example of both:

So, the first picture are more wavy, natural curls while the second are more defined, corkscrew curls. Often, our customers say they want the more natural-looking one. One problem with this is that, although it looks really nice in the picture, these loose, natural curls don’t last very long… As they will do the perm slightly weaker than normal to achieve that level of looseness, they usually return to their original state within a month or so.

Our recommendation is to go for something slightly stronger, in between the clearly defined curls (which are really pretty too, btw!) and the loose curls – that way, you can enjoy both types of curls as the perm slowly wears off over time!
