Dry Shampoo

Good morning everyone!

Today I shall talk about what dry shampoo is!
Dry Shampoo is used by people who think that their scalp is producing excess sebum (‘oil’ in layman terms) and therefore use the dry shampoo to suppress the sebum.

However, it is not wise to constantly use dry shampo on your hair, because it becomes powder when you have sprayed it. Similar to the powder sheets you can buy at a certain $2 shop in Singapore (:P), it actually clogs up your pores if not washed away carefully.

To a certain extent, it is normal for a healthy scalp to produce sebum, but excess sebum could be due to a few reasons, such as over-using dry shampoo, lifestyle and diet, or your pores being unable to ‘breathe’ with the build-ups and clogged areas. As such, some people might even experience itchiness or irritation on their scalp.

What Art-Noise recommends is to use dry shampoo only on days where you need to go out all freshened up, and to thoroughly cleanse your scalp when you are back home! Everytime you use the dry shampoo, you should let your scalp rest and have 2-3 days of normal shampoo + conditioner to scrub off all those power, because those things are micro and super duper tiny.
