ok so seiya has blessed me with an idea after some thought

he said a previous baito had given him this as a farewell present and he recommends this like /

yes if you understand that it means omoshiroi

anyway today we be doing a book review bc our guy SEIYA is marvellously surprised every time someone cancels and he be like “the culture difference is ~~bigas~~s huge”

like if we put this in a table form to look at it:

Japanese

Singaporean

Punctuality

on time, or may even come 5-10 minutes earlier than the stipulated time
at work, there will be a negative impression of you if you come even 5 minutes late (idk how to phrase this actually)
lateness is unacceptable

comes later than stipulated time (not throwing shade but it is normal to see customers come in 15 minutes after the fixed appointment time -then stylists get all panicky thinking that maybe you cancelled and all and that is why we call you guys ok)
at work, even though it states to start at 0900hours, you can see people sauntering in at 0930 hours
being late is the norm

like our cultures are really very different

the book showcases the differences in japanese culture and singaporean culture about the littlest of things in a fun way (i presume bc im just writing based on what seiya said)
