The Wet Look

The wet look is nothing new these past couple of years. We have seen the wet look on our favorite celebrities, on the runway, and on influencers on Instagram.

I have always used hair oil only on my hair as I have straight, fine hair with a short hairstyle. However, hair oil tends to wear out throughout the day and by the end of it I just look like a mess.

Recently, I tried mixing a little gel with a few drop of hair oil, to get a softer consistency so that it is easier to apply on my hair, and it works! Not only does it work but it creates a subtle wet look that is easy to wear out.

Simply take some gel (maybe the size of a 10 cent coin) a few drops of hair oil, and mix it in your palms. I start by scrunch my hair with the styling product, and then lightly pulling my hair back and in a upwards movement from my hairline to create some volume.

For the finishing touches, I just use the remaining styling product on my fingertips, bring forward some strands of hair toward my face, and rub the product on the tip of these strands. This helps to frame the face.
