Simple Hair Arrangement

Greetings fellow internet brethren, tis’ I once again.

Many apologies for the extended absence. I have comest backeth from the dark abyss here to share more useful information you may not need to know.

As we all know, the chingchong season is upon us again. Decorations that scream with red and gold. Incessant CNY songs on loop. The only thing most people care about are the m-o-n-e-y.

Of course, with that there’s also the barrage of #CNY2019 #ootd #初一 #初二. The overwhelming need to share to the world on social media how much effort you spent to look fabulous for the festive occasion because what is tradition and cultural values anymore amirite? Let’s not forget the “hair of the day” (#hotd). After spending hundreds on your hair to look picture perfect in all your photos, why don’t we take a step back to learn some easy hair arrangements. To make it look even better. We never make the effort to style our hair in Singapore (the author knows, weather be hot and you just want it off your skin). But this is a special occasion, if not now then when?

Let me share with you the most basic trick to making it look like you made a lot of effort. Learn it, master it, make it your own. I’m not sure what it’s called in English but

The Inverted Loop

It looks unassuming but don’t let its simplicity fool you. Simpler and less effort and dexterity required than braiding. All you need is a few simple tips to make it look like you know what you’re doing.

Be careful not to let the centre get separated to as it creates an unflattering ‘gap’ as shown above. Tip: When tieing the hair to back try to let the middle section fall through so that when you invert, it will not affect the middle section. This takes some time to get used to so practice makes perfect!

2. Teasing the Hair

This will give the look more dimension and make it look more ‘fluffy’ instead of just flat. Pinch and tug gently at random sections of the hair crown and along the loop as well!

3. Get Creative!
