Looking back since we opened

In this post I’d like to share how Art-Noise has transformed since it opened last year.

Being a Japanese salon, most of our customers were predominantly Japanese at the start. It kinda helped us too since the stylists could not converse well in English at that point.

But!

Time has passed and things have changed. The stylists have been going to English lessons and have been reaching out frequently to our customers through all possible means (mainly the social media). And hallelujah~ the majority of our customers are now Singaporeans and other non-Japanese nationals. It’s so great that we have been able to share our beauty techniques and ideas with so many people.

So to accommodate the great number of non-Japanese speaking customers we now have English (and sometimes Mandarin!) speaking staff to help bridge the stylists and customers to make sure the message goes accurately both ways. I have a feeling that a lot of people opt out of Japanese salons because of the potential language barrier but we have overcome this problem at Art-Noise.

As the number of customers have been growing, it is becoming increasingly difficult to make appointments, especially on the weekends. So do call asap to secure a place with your favourite stylist!
