How to grow your hair out

Have you had the experience of trying to grow your hair out, but not really succeeding because it looks dry and frizzy and ugly? 🙁

The key to growing out beautiful hair is in caring for it properly! Hair can be damaged from improper care and handling, or chemical treatments such as perms, rebonding, or color. It’s unfortunately much easier to damage hair than to keep it in great condition 🙁

Why do individuals who don’t do perms or colors still suffer damage to their hair? It could be due to the shampoo and conditioner they use, or the way they blowdry their hair, and of course, not blowdrying at all! We recommend that before you shampoo your hair, brush it thoroughly from the roots, and apply just a little shampoo to only your scalp. Use warm (not hot!) water. After that, apply conditioner and/or treatment. Most importantly, blowdry your hair from the roots as soon as possible. Don’t sleep with wet hair! Wet hair is prone to breakage. Simply following these steps faithfully for six months or a year will give you visible results.

Of course, you should select a good shampoo and conditioner. We recommend our inhouse SHA shampoo and treatment, which has been specially formulated by our staff to be gentle and suitable for daily use, even for people with sensitive scalps!

People with additional damage from chemical treatments should, in addition to the steps above, go to the hair salon regularly for treatments. We recommend once a month for best results. We also suggest that you use home care products regularly! Your stylist at our hair salon can give you advice on what products to use, and how to use them for maximum efficacy. Do feel free to ask them!
