Yurufuwa Waves

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has had a great week so far. Today’s hairstyle feature is about a very popular Japanese perm style called Yurufuwa waves. Yuru comes from the Japanese word ユルイ(yurui), which means loose or soft while fuwa stems from ふわふわ(fuwa fuwa) which means fluffy.

When put together, the yurufuwa style is a perm style that is made of very soft and light curls. These curls are bouncy and give off a very natural look to it. Take a look at the video to have a better idea of what it would look like!

To emphasize the cute features of the model, the stylists created a round silhouette and bangs before starting the perm. Many may overlook the cutting process when doing to perm but it is equally important to get one that creates the proper shape for the hairstyle.
