answering all you want to know about PERMS!

we have been receiving many queries about our Japanese style perms recently. some have asked about the costs, duration and how they all differ from one another. we will attempt to answer all your queries today! some of you have also lamented the lack of perm images on our social media platforms…that is not to say that very few customers do perm, but not all have given their consent for the pictures to be shared. we seek your understanding on it!

DIGITAL PERM

Digital perm, also known as 3D curl, is popular for its ability to get a curl by perming. This perm is easy to manage as you can hand-comb your hair and it will give you a glossy and bouncy curl. It also gives a 3D effect on big curls and creates a smooth texture.

Pros: Last the longest (around 3 mths)

Cons: Heat is used, causing most damage to hair. Long duration in salon, around 2.5 hrs depending on nature of hair

CHIFFON PERM

Softer texture compared to the usual digital perm. Lasts long (around 3 months). Chiffon perm forms a big curl that can’t be done with the usual digital perm. Due to treatment used in the process, it results in less damage for your hair. Art-Noise uses our original chemical cream that makes it possible to perm and have a treatment effect at the same time We use generous amounts of our in-house treatment, therefore it gives your hair a glossy texture.

Pros: Last the longest (around 3 mths), less damage to hair

Cons: Long duration in salon, around 3 hrs depending on nature of hair

CREEP PERM

Creep perm requires shorter reaction time for chemical reaction compared to usual perm, therefore it minimizes the alkali’s contact to the hair (which will damage the hair). The outcome is smooth and relatively less damaging to the hair. Suitable for individuals who have damaged hair from repetitive perming sessions, or individuals who don’t want to damage their hair. Your hair will feel moisturised at the end of the session.

Pros: Minimal damage to hair, process duration is shorter

Cons: Perm only lasts for around 2 months, not suitable for big curls (won’t hold)
