For this customer, Hajime did a ‘sheer red’ colour.

So, a bit of storytime behind this picture: This featuring customer originally came to us with a request for a greyish colour. After the pre-service consultation, stylist Hajime assessed her hair to be in an unsuitable condition to do a grey colour, as greys usually require at least 2 rounds of bleaching, and this customer’s hair, due to her often doing DIY grey coverage dyeing at home, would likely require even more rounds of bleach, for which case stylist Hajime could not guarantee that her hair would not break off from the amount of chemical stress. As an alternative, as such, he suggested for her to do a safer, more achievable red colour, which is this end result (it still required 2 rounds of bleach, though, so do take note!)!

Information for those of you who like to do DIY grey coverage colouring at home: frequent use of it has a high likelihood of reducing the range of colours you would be able to do! As grey coverage colouring agents usually contain chemicals that adhere more strongly to hair, frequent use of it often leaves a layer of very-difficult-to-remove colouring residue. This layer, in turn, would weaken the lightening effect of bleach, thus greatly reducing the capacity of your hair to go light the more often you use such agents! So the next time you want to do DIY colouring at home, do take note of the potential consequences!
