New Blonde Look!

I haven’t been here at the store for quite a while but recently I got my hair coloured here with Kanako. To celebrate the start of a new 4 years in University, I decided to get a new look and a change in image. This is actually my first time doing a really bright colour so I decided to tone it down a little bit first haha. I was actually looking to get it down Platinum Blonde at first but I didn’t have the courage to pull through. So in the end, I got it bleached to a more Orangey brown. photo_3_converted

Apparently the stylists said it was such a huge change in image that I don’t look like me after that day. But they all felt that it suited me very well In fact, while I was doing my hair, Kanako told me that this kind of image change happens frequently in Japan and they call it “Daigaku debut” or University Debut. A lot of students look to get a massive image change after graduation to get a fresh start in a new school. Sounds like what a lot of locals do as well right? A lot of students like to colour their hair during school holidays or after graduation as liberation from the strict rules regarding personal grooming >.> But to be honest, the Singapore standards are so much stricter than those in Japan so I was quite surprised to hear about that as well.
