How to get rid of the unhealthy looking yellow hair after bleaching

Hi everyone, Harumi here:)

For us Asians with naturally black hair, colouring accompanied by bleach is often required for us to achieve a brighter, lighter, more translucent hair colour.

Unfortunately, colours do get washed away with time and it is a pain to watch the beautiful shades of your coloured hair fading into an unhealthy-looking, dull yellow colour.

So today I am going to introduce a way to make your yellow hair look healthier – colour them with purple dyes!

As shown in the colour wheel beloｗ, purple is the chromatic opposite of yellow.

Purple therefore, helps to neutralise yellow. To put things in context, the introduction of purple pigments into yellow hair helps to counteract the yellow tone and achieve a cooler shade. And the good news is that hair of cooler tone often appears glossier and healthier:)

This is how the end result could look like. Lovely isnt it?

Of course, the best ways to keep your hair shiny and healthy would still be lots of haircare. Remember to blow dry your hair after wash and apply treatment to them. Also, apply sunblock to your hair if you have to expose them to sunlight for long periods of time. Do come down to our salon regularly for treatment too.
