Unknown Terrors of DIY Drugstore Coloring Kits

Let’s talk about home coloring kits today!

There are many variety of DIY color dyes available in Singapore and those are popular because it is fast, easy and cheap! Why do it at a salon at higher price when you can do it yourself at home right? Wrong, because your hair is paying the price! ＼(º □ º l|l)/

Did you know that those DIY dyes are very very VERY damaging? It is made up of very strong chemicals to strip your hair color quickly. I am sure many of you are against bleaching your hair because you are worried of damaging the hair right? However what you are doing to your hair when you use those DIY dyes is basically the same as bleaching your hair. 〣( ºΔº )〣

One of our stylist, Yukie, experimented coloring her hair with the DIY color kit and she found the result horrendous. Not only did it made her hair dry and brittle, the color faded off really quickly too.

So please don’t think that using those boxed dyes will give you the same results as coloring your hair in a salon! Your hair will really suffer from the harsh chemicals. (´-ω-｀)

At Art-Noise, the stylist will examine your hair type and condition before mixing the dyes accordingly to what suits you best. For example, the stylists will use a milder and gentler type of chemical for customers who has weaker hair.
