Merry Christmas everyone!

Today’s title.

The song that led British band Queen to success, and recently a very successful movie based on the band and the life of frontman, Freddie Mecury.

So why are we talking about this today, well because the 80s was all about big wild hair, bright bold fashion (which I personally adore)

In these past few months, I have been seeing an uprising trend of a particular hairstyle in Japan and I would believe it was due to the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The haircut is known as a Wolf Cut (ウルフカット) due to the many layers incorperated into the hairstyle. The hairstyle is bascially sectioned into 2 mains portions, the upper portion is kept shorter with layers that frames the face, while the bottom portion is much longer and is often styled in a way where the ends curl up to resemble something like a mane. It might just be an updated version of the mullet hairstyle.

The style gives off a edgy look and will look great even when its messy. The 80s was never known for being prim and proper anyway.

Let me guess, some of you are definitely thinking that this hairstyle either looks outrageous or is absolutely impossible to pull this off in Singapore’s humidity. Well, I agree that this is not a practical hairstyle. It is going to be hot, suffocating and sweaty for the neck area but for what it counts, I think it is super おしゃれ(oshare) fashionable, and I would love to try this after my exams. (Pathtetic life of a student studying hotel and hospitality management..)

I would really love to see bolder cuts and fashion here in Singapore, I know the weather is intolerable but come on guys, wouldn’t it be more fun to go out with everyone spotting different looks?
