What is ‘Sparkling Spa’?

This is the salon’s very own special hair care that uses carbonated water containing more than 1000ppm.
This house-brand special care uses hair products that contain lipidure (which has moisturizing effects of up to 3 times more than hyaluronic acid), sodium dilauramidoglutamide lysine (INCI; a substance created by Asahi Kasei which helps to structure the insides of the hair) and, other scalp-relieving and relaxation-inducing substances.

Introducing the main qualities of Sparkling Spa.

The need to remove fluorine
Singapore’s tap water contains a lot of fluorine and every time you wash your hair with it, a layer of fluorine builds up on the surface of the hair. This layer of fluorine hinders the permeation of perm, colour and treatment chemicals into the hair.
By removing the coat through Sparkling Spa, it enables the chemicals to penetrate easily and effectively.
Furthermore, the layer of fluorine ruins the texture of the hair, causing the hair to lose its shine.
Bring the pH back to normal
Singapore’s tap water is slightly more acidic than the hair.
This causes the cuticles to open up and subsequently causing the necessary nutrients for the hair to drain out. Ultimately this encourages hair damage.
In addition, when the cuticles are open, the chemicals may not work as effectively.
Sparkling Spa helps to bring the hair back to its healthy pH level.

Removal of residual chemicals
Many of you may have experienced smelling the chemical odor for several days after a perm or colour at the salon. What this smell means is that the chemical residue on the hair is causing too much chemical reaction than it should, leading to hair and scalp damage.
Sparkling Spa won’t leave any smell in your hair so that any potential damage is dismissed at this point.
Eliminating the cause of hair loss
Oxygenated sebum on the scalp and testosterone are said to be the causes of hair loss. Sparkling Spa will rinse off the sebum and also encourage more blood circulation in the scalp. This in turn becomes an antioxidant measure.
