How often should you wash your hair?

Shampooing removes oil on your scalp and head, and leaves you feeling clean. However, did you know excessive shampooing can be bad for your scalp and hair too?

Too much of washing your hair will strip your scalp of all the natural oils that your body produces, and some of it are essential to maintain a healthy scalp.

So, how often should you wash your hair then?

Well, there is no straight answer to that, but here are some suggestions!

Generally, if your hair does not appear to be oily and being weighed down by the oils on your head, you could do shampooing every 2 or 3 days.

Dry shampoos are a great alternative to washing your hair. However! Please remember to wash your hair in the night or the next day as dry shampoo can cause buildup in your scalp too!

So, who should wash their hair everyday then?

If you exercise or perspire a lot
If you use oil-based hair styling products on a daily basis. If you are using water-based products, rinsing with water may be sufficient.
If you have an oily scalp and/or suffering from dandruff
