Damaged hair – tips

For all the people out there with damaged hair, this one is for you!

How does damaged hair come about????

There’s a couple of reasons how your hair is damaged – the most obvious one being bleach of course. Bleached hair has the most obvious damage (plus the more you do the more damage there is – that’s why you can see people who overbleach their hair and it starts breaking/dropping.) The other culprits are also stuff like coloring (the normal kind), rebonding/straightening and even perms. Of course, the damage doesn’t seem to be visible, but you can feel your hair become dry.

Rebonding/straightening lies on the same damage range as bleach – and why is that so? If you think about it, rebonding is basically the breaking/softening your hair bonds and bonding it together to form the straight hair that you see. The need to ‘break’ those bonds and re-bond them together makes your hair weaker (which is why our stylists will never recommend you to bleach your hair because once you bleach your rebonded hair – all you are looking to do is to say sayonara to your hair)
