Today we would like to share with everyone tips and tricks for blowdrying your hair! The techniques that the stylist use, let us teach them to you today!

In Singapore, many people do not like to blow-dry their hair after showering because it takes too long to do. Some also find it too difficult as the hot air from the dryer makes it uncomfortable especially with Singapore’s humid weather! However, it is recommended that you do so as leaving your hair wet promotes the growth of bacteria which can lead to problems such as hair loss or odours!

The trick is to start blowdrying from your roots! After you towel dry you hair, start drying from the roots. To prevent excess heat damage to your hair, set the heat setting to a lower setting if possible then hold the dryer from about 20-30cm away from your hair.

After your roots are dry, you can then move on to dry the ends. It is extremely important that the roots are dried so for the time-strapped, you can skip drying the ends once you’re done with the roots. When drying the ends, it is important to blow your hair to keep the style. For example, avoid pulling through permed hair when drying!
