The smallest details.

This is not going to be a useful blog post but I just want to take some time to appreciate how beautiful some of the hair arrangements are in Japan. It has taken on a huge modern twists. Hair arrangements are now done with crazy bright colored hair paired with subtle looking strings and small delicate (dry) flowers. Every braid, every twist, every section of hair is textured to create a balance. The whole look is so carefully crafted that it looks elegant without looking too over the top.

Even gold leaves are added for the extra bling.

I think it is the appreciation for every special occasion. There are so many occasions for them to get their hair done. It can be a graduation ceremony, a coming of age ceremony, a summer festival etc. and trends are changing at such a speed that stylists in Japan have to keep improving their skills to keep up with the generation.
