It is always a daunting to decision to get your hair permed, especially if it is your first time. So here are some aftercare tips should you decide to make the bold step of perming your hair.

Many of us prefer letting our hair airdry than blow-drying our hair after washing, but what most of us don’t realize is that how we dry our hair could affect how long our hairstyles would last! Our stylist has shared a few tips on how to properly dry your hair to help your curls last longer:

Start drying from the roots of your hair and slowly work your way down
Avoid tugging your hair too much while drying. Excessive tugging will stretch your curls and they won’t be able to last as long as a result!
Using your fingers, twist your curls as you dry your hair
For bigger, fluffier curls, try to blow-dry your hair as much as possible (100% dry would be best!)
For gentler, wavy curls, you may leave the last bit of dampness to dry naturally.
