perm vs curling iron

anyway today the topic covers smth i see happening a lot in the salon

its about perms

your hand is probably itching to call your favourite salon in town, Art Noise™ to get some volume to your flat and boring hair bc you saw some photos like these:

most of the voluminous curls you see in pictures look super glam to you, and you want to achieve those curls amirite????

nope not possible bc they’re not from perms, they are done with the curling iron/wand

these are the styles you want to look at if you want to perm your hair:

it is kinda hard to tell, but the curls done with a curling iron is much neater (as you use heat and you can directly control how you want the curl to go) and it will appear glossier than with a perm.

that’s it.

also unlike rebonding, perms require more maintenance ie you gotta style it with wax/setting spray or else the curls will not last + there will be some damage when you perm your hair (basically anything you do that restructures your hair bonds) so you need some home care for your hair ie hair serums/conditioner

these are the things you should take note of when you are considering a perm
