Types of colouring techniques GRADUAL COLOUR / HIGHLIGHT
Customer's preference She wanted a bright color that was not reddish and contrast in the colors.
Advice from the stylist Previously she had ash brown highlights added to her hair so this time I recommended to add in lowlights atop of highlights to create a slightly darker toned gradation color.
Customer's thoughts on the outcome The contrast turned out better compared to if I had only did a one-tone colour for her. As there are both highlights and lowlights involved, it would be easy to style the hair straight or curled for different events and have the effect turn out nice.
Stylist's thoughts on the outcome There was a total of 3 different shades for both the highlights and lowlights, so the final product turned out nice while not going over the top with the colours becoming too bright for the customer's liking. The customer's previous hair colour was bright enough to create the contrast for this colouring session. Furthermore, the colour can last longer with lowlights so this is recommended for customers who do not want their hair to become too bright.
