Types of colouring techniques BALAYAGE / GRADUAL COLOUR / GREY COLOUR / GREYAGE COLOUR
Customer's preference She originally had black natural hair and she wanted a greyish colour that'd brighten up her hair.
Advice from the stylist She's afraid of how the hair will grow out to look like if she were to bleach her entire head.
It will stand out and hence, I advised on doing a balayage technique so that only the ends of her hair will be bright and there will be a gradiation effect achieved overall as the roots are darker and the colour of the hair ends is brighter.
I suggested dyeing a greyiish colour so that the contrast will look pronounced.
Customer's thoughts on the outcome As she had dark hair up till now, it was great that a contrast could be created.
She's looking forward to how the colour will fade as it's the first time that she dyed her hair so brightly.
Stylist's thoughts on the outcome A balayage technique is not only bright, but a gradiation colour will allow it to look natural when the hair grows.
Therefore, the roots wouldn't be very outstanding when it grows out.
At the same time, when she curls her hair, a beautiful contrast will be created; therefore I hope that she'll curl her hair when she's headed out.
